Changing the background color of a map

The background color of the Map Canvas is set within the project’s Project Properties.
Access the Project Properties by clicking through Project > Properties from the main menu.
The background color settings are located within the project’s General Settings. In the Project Properties dialog, navigate through General > General Settings > Background Color. You can adjust the background color of the map canvas there.
In the example below, we change the background color from transparent to black.
