This tutorial demonstrates the dynamic range adjustment (DRA) option for raster symbology in ArcGIS Pro using a composite (multiband) raster dataset from Landsat 8.
The example includes a Color Infrared visualization. (The band combination is included in the demonstration images.)
Accessing the DRA option
Option 1: through the Main Menu Ribbon
To access the dynamic range adjustment (DRA) option for raster symbology, navigate to Raster Layer tab on the main menu ribbon. Note that you must have a raster layer highlighted in the Contents pane for the Raster Layer menu to appear as an option.
Within the Raster Layer options, you will DRA among the Rendering options.

Notice that this menu also includes shortcuts to many other (but certainly not all) visualization options for raster layers.
Option 2: through the Symbology pane options
As with any symbology option, you can always find the DRA option within the symbology pane for a raster layer. The option is located under Statistics > DRA (from the drop down menu). Using this option is included in the demonstration below.
Demonstrating Dynamic Range Adjustment
Because DRA will change the symbology of a raster layer dynamically (based on the visible extents), the demonstration below includes toggling the option while panning and zooming across the example dataset.
You’ll notice that the appearance (symbology) of the raster dataset changes with the visible extents of the map. The stretch method applied in this demonstration is Standard Deviations, and thus the stretched symbology is impacted by which cell values are included in the current view. As we change the visible cells (by panning and zooming), the mean value and the standard deviation are recalculated and a new stretched color ramp is applied to each of the RGB bands.
