Changing the Maximum Sample Size (Quantitative Symbology Options)

When using a quantitative symbology approach, large datasets may exceed the default maximum sample size used by ArcGIS Pro to calculate the histogram (which would in turn also impact the results of most classification methods).

To increase the maximum sample size, click-through the Symbology panel tabs to Advanced Symbology Options > Sample Size and type your preferred sample size. (Hint: adding several zeros usually does the trick.)

NOTE: The sample size options only appear when the Primary Symbology is set to a quantitative symbology type (such as graduated colors in the demonstration above).
