Identifying the CRS of a Feature Layer

This quick tutorial walks through the steps of accessing a layer’s properties and navigating to its CRS information.

To check the coordinate information of a layer, right-click on the layer’s name in the Contents Pane and click-through Properties > Source (tab), then scroll to and expand  the Spatial Reference dropdown.

In this example, the “Admin 0 - Countries” layer uses the WGS 1984 Geographic Coordinate System (unprojected, therefore it lists no linear units).
