Exporting Selected Features to a New Feature Class

To export selected features from one dataset into a new feature class, right-click on the selected layer's name in the Contents Pane, then click through Data > Export Features to bring up the Export Features dialogue.

TIP: The Export Features dialogue can be used to both select features and export that selection using the Expression Builder within the dialogue box.

The Environments tab provides advanced options for the output file. Generally speaking, we usually want to export a new feature class with the same CRS as the original, so it is not necessary to change the Output Coordinates settings.

Choose a destination, name, and file type for the output file, and click OK to export.
